PNA FISH™
Rapid Identification of Positive Blood Cultures
Once a blood culture turns positive, a Gram stain is performed and based on the results the appropriate PNA FISH test is selected. Identification results are available within just a few hours and can be reported to the attending physician.
Effective implementing of PNA FISH via coordinated efforts between the microbiology lab, pharmacy and medical staff, can result in many great benefits.

S. aureus/CNS PNA FISH™ (Cat. No. KT005) is a multicolor, qualitative nucleic acid hybridization assay intended for identification of Staphylococcus aureus and selected other staphylococci from blood cultures.
S. aureus/CNS PNA FISH provides rapid identification of S. aureus and non-aureus staphylococci, commonly referred to as Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci (CNS), on smears made directly from Gram-positive cocci in clusters (GPCC) positive blood cultures. S. aureus/CNS PNA FISH is compatible...
For in vitro diagnostic use.
C. albicans/C. glabrata PNA FISH™ (Cat. No. KT006) is a multicolor, qualitative nucleic acid hybridization assay intended for identification of Candida albicans and Candida glabrata from blood cultures.
C. albicans/C. glabrata PNA FISH provides rapid identification of C. albicans and C. glabrata on smears made directly from Yeast-positive blood cultures and is compatible with all major blood culture media. The 2.5 hours fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)...

S. aureus PNA FISH™ (Cat. No. KT001) is a qualitative nucleic acid hybridization assay intended for identification of Staphylococcus aureus from blood cultures.
S. aureus PNA FISH provides rapid identification of S. aureus on smears made directly from Gram-positive cocci in clusters (GPCC) positive blood culture bottles and is compatible with all major blood culture media. The 2.5 hours fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) assay uses fluorescently labeled peptide nucleic...
