Dennis H. Langer, M.D., J.D.

Chairman of the Board

Dr. Langer is a Director of Myriad Genetics, Inc., Myrexis, Inc., and several private health care companies. He has served as a Director of several public and private biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, including Sirna Therapeutics, Inc. (acquired by Merck & Co., Inc.), Ception Therapeutics, Inc. (acquired by Cephalon, Inc.), Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. (acquired by Shire plc), Pharmacopeia, Inc. (acquired by Ligand, Inc.), and Cytogen Corporation (acquired by EUSA Pharma, Inc.). He was a Managing Partner at Phoenix IP Ventures, LLC from 2005-2010. From 2004-2005, he was President, North America for Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Inc. Dr. Langer was with GlaxoSmithKline from 1994-2004, where he served as Senior Vice President, Project, Portfolio and Alliance Management, Senior Vice President, Product Development Strategy, and Senior Vice President, Healthcare Services R&D. He also served as President and CEO at Neose Technologies, Inc. from 1991-1994. Previously, Dr. Langer held R&D and marketing positions at Eli Lilly, Abbott, and Searle.

Dr. Langer is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He was Chief Resident in Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine and held clinical fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Langer serves on the Dean's Advisory Board of Harvard Law School and the Committee on Medical Center Affairs of the Board of Directors of Georgetown University. He received an M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine, a J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. in Biology from Columbia University.





James M. Coull, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Coull joined AdvanDx in 2007 and has extensive experience in product development and building successful life sciences companies.

Before joining AdvanDx, Dr. Coull served as VP of Commercial Operations, and subsequently CTO, of Ensemble Discovery Corporation, a venture-backed pharmaceutical discovery company located in Cambridge, MA.

Dr. Coull was a co-founder and Vice President of R&D at Boston Probes, Inc., where he spearheaded the development of the company's core PNA technology and probe-based tests for life science applications. Dr. Coull has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PNA-based technologies and applications. Boston Probes was acquired in 2001 by Applied Biosystems whereupon Dr. Coull served as a senior R&D manager at ABI until 2004.

Prior to Boston Probes, Dr. Coull held other senior R&D positions at Millipore Corporation and PerSeptive Biosystems, where he supervised a team of scientists working on the development of new methods and materials for PNA synthesis and analysis. Dr. Coull has also conducted research on DNA/peptide synthesis and protein analysis leading to new product lines at Millipore and PerSeptive Biosystems.

As a pioneer of many innovative techniques, Dr. Coull is listed as an inventor on more than thirty issued US patents, has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles, and presented numerous posters and oral presentations at international scientific meetings and conferences.

Dr. Coull holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and a B.Sc. from Colby College.




 
Roger D. Graham
Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Graham is a seasoned commercial executive who brings a wealth of leadership experience to this role as the first Chief Commercial Officer of AdvanDx. Mr. Graham has over 25 years of experience with a strong specialty focus in Urology, Central Nervous System Disorders, Analgesia, Anti-Infective and Orthopedic markets with large pharma and small biotech companies. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales with Auxilium Pharmaceuticals in Malvern, PA. While there, he was responsible for the commercial operations and launched a first in class orphan biologic for Dupuytren’s Contracture. In addition to delivering 25% CAGR during his tenure he also led Auxiliium’s partnernship with Pfizer as the Chairman of the Joint Steering Committee.

Prior to Auxilium, Mr. Graham was Senior Vice President with Adolor Corporation where he was responsible for leading the commercial organization's pre-launch preparation for a breakthrough product in post-operative ileus and chronic opioid bowel dysfunction. During his time with Auxilium and Adolor, Mr. Graham was a member of the executive teams that successfully raised in excess of $300M. Before Adolor, Mr. Graham held senior marketing and sales positions at Yamanouchi Pharma America, where he established and had full responsibility for U.S. commercial operations for this emerging Japanese pharmaceutical company and at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, a division of Johnson and Johnson, where he had leadership responsibility for 2,300 primary care, specialty, and hospital sales and marketing associates.

Mr. Graham is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration and holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from Seton Hall University.
 

 
 
Tucker P. Kelly

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kelly joined AdvanDx in 2012 and has over 15 years of experience building life sciences and biotechnology companies. He has held positions as a chief financial officer for both public and private companies as well as a life sciences investment banker and a corporate and securities attorney. Over his career, he has completed over 65 financing and strategic transactions in the US and Europe.

Prior to joining AdvanDx, Mr. Kelly served as the Chief Financial Officer of deCODE genetics, a leading genetics research company. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance & Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer for Critical Therapeutics, a NASDAQ-listed specialty pharmaceutical company. Before joining Critical Therapeutics, he was a life sciences investment banker with Canaccord Adams and Robertson Stephens in Boston and London for nearly 10 years as well as a corporate and securities lawyer with Foley, Hoag & Eliot in Boston.

Mr. Kelly received his J.D. from the The Law School at the University of Chicago and graduated with a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
